RK Likes Design
We worked with the client and designer to build out a high concept, high quality office inside a former church in south St. Louis. The level of detail required among other things for RK to find specific bolts to install on wood veneer wall panels, which would be visible and therefore aesthetics were as important as strength. Curved drywall with level 5 finish, metallic wallcoverings, terrazzo repairs, a combination toilet and vanity which took nearly two days to install, and special order lights (four month lead time!) including a starburst and others meant to evoke birds in flight were among the many fascinating accomplishments on the project.
Peoples National Bank
Peoples National Bank hired RK to build their new bank space in the Paul Brown building in downtown St. Louis. Design discussions and selections were extensive and we had to find ways to conceal HVAC ducts & electrical conduits for the mezzanine offices up against the storefront glass at a busy intersection. A traditional décor theme included restoring plaster columns and walls, abundant dark wood teller stations with wrought iron details, large chandeliers, and marble flooring with polished brass insets.
